Post-Relativity Blues

It seems to me that a great shift on consciousness is looming — the deeply embedded assumption of relativity that has taken over all of our thinking since the post-modern turn, in science as well as humanities and art, is about to change into an epoch where we see that each and every being, each and every dot of space-time has a uniquely privileged view, and that there is radical asymmetry in the creative universe. Absent an implicit holism, the challenge for humans will be to find meaning through the tacit relational dynamism — a dance between asymmetrical contrasts, not symmetrical contraries — that propels the ever-complexifying and ever-uniquifying constellations upon constellations of living systems.
